No imagination, no creation, no fiction just old elements to make another movie for 500 million cash. Obviously, this movie has great visuals. Otherwise I can not understand who starts making a trilogy without a plan? Palpatine's return is just a forced move because there wasn't a good villain left in the universe. By the way how did he survive in the Return of the Jedi? Pretty impossible in an exploding structure in space. He could be the villain of the next trilogy as well with this logic :D
Just think about all the possibilities in the beginning of The Force Awakens. What did we get? The old trio did not meet even once, Luke was a grumpy old man most of the time. Think, the guy who didn't turn to the dark side even though he thought he watched all of his friends die in ep. 6. was afraid of a little influence of Snoke and tried to KILL ben solo? Finn as a character is mostly useless, a good origin story with potential but then character development completely stopped and he just takes a beating in every single scene.
The force isn't consistent throughout the franchise... Obi-Wan would've surely, magically, healed Qui-Qon too? What about Padme, if a jedi could heal and bring others back with force, she would have lived I guess...
All in all, a corporate check-box movie that does no good for the fans. We would have been better of with just Rogue One.
